Back....

Sorry, everyone. Had an emergency and ended up having to go out of town for a couple days. Without my laptop or anything...lol.
Don't worry. Everything is fine and I'm back. So to make up for not being able to post the next installments of The Vanguard, I'll be posting three installments this week. :)
Please accept my apologies and a flower or two from my man here.

Vanguard Postponed

Due to circumstances beyond my control (doesn't that sound eerie?), the next installment of Vanguard won't be posted until some time next week. Sorry for the delay.

Keeping Mum

Watched Keeping Mum last night. An entertaining British comedy staring Rowan Atkinson and Maggie Smith. Two of my favorite British actors.

It's a dark comedy, but I laughed all the way through it and there was a twist at the end I didn't see coming.

Got about 4k done on Vanguard over the weekend. It's turning into a fun and interesting story.

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Pimping Books

I'd pimp Emily Veinglory's newest book...The Wicca Man: Tongue-Tied, but I haven't read it yet...lol. So I thought I'd suggest one of her earlier books.

Dealing Straight is a historical western. I love how it deals, not only with m/m relations, but also with a character who really has nothing left to lose. Yet he figures out that the one thing he does have, he wouldn't give up for anything...not even comfort. If you're looking for a good historical read in a period of time you don't see many m/m books set in, I'd say pick this one up.

While you're at it, stop by and pick up Tiffany Aaron's newest book, Troubled Waters. It's about shape shifters and all sorts of interesting creatures. It's part of Liquid Silver's new Terran Realm series. (I'd put her cover up, but I haven't figured out how to post more than one pic at a time...lol)

I hope you all have a great Saturday.

Wednesday's Words....

Sonnet XLI

I thank all who have loved me in their hearts,
With thanks and love from mine. Deep thanks to all
Who paused a little near the prison-wall
To hear my music in its louder parts
Ere they went onward, each one to the mart's
Or temple's occupation, beyond call.
But thou, who, in my voice's sink and fall
When the sob took it, thy divinest Art's
Own instrument didst drop down at thy foot
To hearken what I said between my tears, . . .
Instruct me how to thank thee ! Oh, to shoot
My soul's full meaning into future years,
That they should lend it utterance, and salute
Love that endures, from Life that disappears !

-Elizabeth Barrett Browning

****Keep all the families of the victims at Virginia Tech and also the family of the gunman in our prayers*****

Writing has been going well. The curve Stakel threw me two days ago has been incorporated into the story. I hope it makes it better. :)

Have a good day, everyone.

Three

Did I happen to mention that we got our cover and editor for Three? Isn't it a great cover? Very simple and classy..which is what we were looking for.

If you stop by SiN and check it out, there are a couple excerpts posted along with the blurbs for our stories. :)

And while you're at it, check out the excerpts I've posted for Stealing Life (if you haven't already)

Got a bunch written on The Vanguard and another short story I've been working on. It was a productive weekend.

Hope you have a great day.

Night At the Museum

I actually saw this movie awhile ago. Night at the Museum was hilarious. Very entertaining. I think I'd like working in a place like that. Imagine all the things you could learn about history.
I added about 2k to The Vanguard. So I won't have to panic about having to post installments. That way they'll already be written. I'll probably do some more work on it today. :)
I'm listening to Josh Groban's So She Dances at the moment and thinking how wonderful this song is. Hmmm...there might be a story in the lyrics. Of course, changing she to he, but still the song will work. Yikes, just want I need...another story idea. lol.
I hope your Sunday is sunny and warm.

Pimping Books...

Today's installment of Pimping Books...is Ms. Ally Blue's Oleander House. It's available now from Samhain Publishing.

I like this book because it's not a romance. I'd call it more of a 'straight' (lol) paranormal/suspense with a possibility for romance along the way. So if you go in expecting a romance, you're going to be disappointed. I really enjoyed it and the second book in the series, What Hides Inside was released earlier this week. But I haven't been able to read that one yet. Too many other things happening. It's on my list to buy as soon as I find some free time to read it. Since I know I'll be reading it in one sitting. :)

As for writing, I got inspired and have been working on a short story about a basketball player. It's only going to be around 25k and I've got 11k done so far. It's been going well. I've also been working on Tony's story and The Vanguard as well. :)

Hope everyone has a great Friday.

Wednesday's Words

How Do I Love Thee?

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight

For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of every day's

Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.

I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;

I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love with a passion put to use

In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose

With my lost saints, I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life! and, if God choose,

I shall but love thee better after death.

-Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Hope you have a great day.

New Reviews

Got two new reviews for Angel's Evolution.

One from Nannette at Joyfully Reviewed says "Angel's Evolution is a beautiful story."

The other comes from Bella at TwoLipsReviews and she says "In Angel's Evolution, T.A. Chase manages to do what few authors do, wrap you up in the story so completely that you forget the world around you."

Thank you, ladies.

Did some writing over the weekend. A little on some of the oler stories and a bit on a new story idea I came up with.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and enjoy your Monday.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter, Everyone. May the day be filled with laughter and fun. Or how about just sunny skies and no snow?

Got my editors for both Stealing Life and Three anthology this past week. So that means we're on schedule for a June/July release of both of them. :)

Did some writing yesterday. Not a ton. Been kind of lazy the last two days. But I'll get back into the swing of things soon.

Pimping Books

I missed my pimping session last Friday. Got too busy with other things. So we’re back and today’s book is by Barbara Sheridan and Anne Cain. Yes, the wonderfully talented Anne who has done my last three covers.

Orange Moon (click on title for blurb) takes place before their story Winter Song, even though it didn’t get released until after the other one. (Does that make any sense? lol) It’s part of their Japanese rocker series. I thoroughly enjoyed both stories. Anne created the covers for both as well. Those guys are just damn beautiful.

Did some work on a bunch of different stories yesterday. Since I don’t have to work today, I’m planning on getting a lot written. Hopefully, though I am having lunch with a friend, but it shouldn’t take too much time out of the day.

Have a great Good Friday, everyone.

Nothing Happening....

Here's the cover for Stealing Life (click on the title for some excerpts).
Anne did another wonderful job with bringing my guys to life.

Not much going on around here. It’s rainy and cold which sucks. I did a little writing on Magpie & Snake story. Have no real idea where that one’s going…lol. Just know that Magpie’s voice is pretty strong in my head at the moment. He’s a bit of a talker.

Hope you have a great day.

Monday Interview

Hey everyone…Hope you had a great weekend. I did, all things considered.

Stop over to Nicole’s blog and see the interview she did with me. Some great questions and she also posted excerpts from No Going Home, Here Be Dragons and Stealing Life. We’re running a contest as well. Post a comment and get in a drawing for either one of my books…or a book of your choice from either Loose-Id or Liquid Silver.

Didn’t get much writing done over the weekend. Got caught up in some other stuff.

Oh Yvonne, Magpie & Snake is an urban fantasy I started last year sometime. I took a look at it the other day and got inspired to write some more on it. It’s a lot of fun to work on because Magpie is quite an interesting character.

Well, I hope everyone has a great Monday and remember to stop by Nicole’s blog to say hi.

Wet Sunday

Went and saw Mark Walhberg’s newest movie, Shooter, yesterday. It was pretty good. Lots of action and that’s the type of movie I like. Also, it has Mark in it. So hot. Here’s a pic from his younger days when he was the cover boy for Calvin Klein.

Not much writing has been done the past two days…though I did turn in my short story, Understanding Forgiveness, but since I just realized that the true deadline for the anthology isn’t until May, I’m way ahead of where I thought I was…lol.

Been working on Tony’s story, The Vanguard and Magpie&Snake, but I got distracted by a new idea and had to work on that one as well.

I’m hoping to get some work done today, but not sure what’s been planned for us. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.
