I'm glad you enjoyed it. This just happened to be one of those stories that lended itself to more detail than I wanted to get into on the blog. :)
Oh my T.A.! I saw the great cover Anne created for The Vanguard and couldn't wait for it to come out. Got my copy this morning and instead of working on my boring computer manual, I started reading and couldn't stop,LOL! The story grabbed me right from the beginning and I had to find out how it all ended. What I found the most fun were the witty conversations Stakel has with the "voice" in his head.
By the end, I felt I knew the heroes really well and even the side characters, Darius, Antioc and Martin seemed to become like family.
Please keep more coming like this one - a definite must read in my opinion!

Thanks so much. I'm thrilled you liked it.
I felt the same way about the secondary characters as well. If I was inclined to write a sequel, it would probably be about Darius. Though I did think maybe a prequel would be interesting about the founding of the Vanguard. Unfortunately, I have way too many other stories to work on before I can even dream about those.
