New Cover and various news

First of all, I got the final cover for my January release. My story, Where the Devil Dances, is part of the year long Hearts Afire series featuring firemen (or women...which ever one the author picks...lol) Bonnie and I are kicking off the series with two hot m/m romances for you. Check it out here. While you're there, browse through all the coming soon books and see the Hearts Afire books coming out in the next several months as well.

Second of all, I know some of you have noticed the newest Coming Soon cover posted on the sidebar of my blog. Yes, Allergies will be published by Amber Allure, the GLBT imprint from Amber Quill Press. It'll be coming out in the beginning of April in ebook form(tentatively...lol...most dates I give you will be tentative dates from all my publishers.) with the print version releasing a couple of weeks later. (again tentatively) Amber Allure is where I'll be sending Nick of Time when I finish it. :)

Thirdly, (is that a word..lol) I wanted to thank everyone who bought Home of his Own this year. It is in the Top 8 Best Sellers at Liquid Silver Books and it's all because of you. So thanks bunches. :) If you want to check out the other best sellers, click here or here. Tina at LSB was gracious enough to post all this information for readers and authors.

Fourth, I want to thank everyone who has stopped by my blog throughout the year. It doesn't matter whether you leave a comment or not. Or even if you email me personally to tell me what you think about what I've posted every day. I'm thrilled that you make my blog a daily stop for you. I'm hoping you'll continue to do so in 2009. I have a bunch of great books coming out next year and this is the spot to catch the covers and excerpts and eye candy. :)

Last, I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve. May 2009 be the best year of your life so far and may you read a ton of awesome books.

Poetry Train #84

Untitled...

Tears rained from Heaven
Dreams dripped from clouds
Need came from hearts
Want came from souls.

Who did I think I was
That I could want you so badly
What was I looking for

Was I looking for someone
To accept me
Was I looking for someone
To hold me.

Was I need strength to live

That was what I was lacking
The strength to continue
To live with the flaws
That were me

I didn't think anyone
Would have me
I didn't understand that
God knew me.

He understood all my
Doubts and flaws
He loved me and
Knew that there was
Someone for me.

That someone was you.
You took me in your arms
You loved me without
Thought or doubt.
You understood my tears
And held me.

So now I don't question
God about my life
Because He gave me
You.

Dreaming of Dragons

Happy Holidays, everyone. Sorry I'm posting this so late. We ended up leaving earlier than I planned and we just got home. :) I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and a safe one as well.

I promised you an excerpt from Dreaming of Dragons...well, this one is a NSFW or for little prying eyes. ;) It's unedited as well. I'm not sure when it will be out, except that it should be the first half of the year. How's that for vague? lol

Excerpt: (unedited...of course)

"Soon, love," George demanded as he thrust his cock through the tunnel Mordred created with his hand.

He bit back the protest as Mordred pulled away from him. Shooting a glance over his shoulder, he saw Mordred open the small bottle of lotion they kept in the bathing room. His lover squirted some of the slick in the palm of his hand and tossed the bottle down outside the pool. George turned back to rest his forehead against the wall.

The flared head of Mordred's cock rubbed George's hole. George felt Mordred smooth his hand over George's spine, encouraging George to push back. He did and Mordred slid home like George's ass was made to fit him. They moaned as the elf pulled out and slipped back in, easy and gentle.

George groaned. "Harder. Damn you."

Mordred's chuckle held a hint of cruelty. Shivering, George clenched his muscles around Mordred's cock. Mordred pulled out and George forced his body to relax. The elf slammed back in and George cried out.

"You want it hard and fast, my knight?" Mordred's warm breath caressed George's ear as Mordred bent over his back, burying his prick deep inside George.

"Yes, please," he begged.

There was a time when he'd never beg for anything. He would never have made himself so vulnerable, but he'd learned through the centuries that Mordred would never hurt him. Not deliberately to cause pain. Only pleasure.

"You have but to command me, Sir George."

He tensed his arms to keep from banging his head as Mordred started reaming his ass. George rocked in time with Mordred's thrusts, causing the elf to nail his gland with every stroke. Tingling spread through his body, dancing along his nerve endings and drawing his balls tight to his body.

"Gonna come, Mordred," he warned.

Mordred growled. Obeying the unspoken order, George arched his head back, giving his lover access to his throat. He climaxed as Mordred's teeth pierced his skin and his lover's prick nailed his gland hard.

Merry Christmas Eve...

So here we are...another Christmas Eve. Wow...this year has gone by so fast. :) I hope everyone has a great day and night.

I said that I'd be giving you two new blurbs to pick from...not just today, but I'll let everyone comment until next Monday when I'll figure out which one is the most popular and start working on it.

Blurb #1: (paranormal, shifter)

Bastet-

Kellan Largent is a grad student at Harvard. His thesis is on ancient Egyptian religious cults. While immersed in his research, he comes across an obscure reference to the Earth Warrior cult. Little does he know that one sentence in a dusty tattered book will engulf him in a battle between good and evil. A battle that could be the end of the world as he knows it.

The stray cat wandering the streets around Kellan’s house is more than an abandoned feline. Bastet has roamed the earth from the days when Egypt was young. He’s watched the Pharaohs rise and fall. New gods come and go. His purpose has remained the same: Protect the earth at all costs and keep the secrets of the Earth Warriors from regular mortals. He’s sent to keep Kellan Largent from finding out the truth about the cult, but also to keep the unsuspecting college student alive.

One man will do anything for the spell that created the Warriors. He wants immortality and killing Kellan for the secret is just the beginning of the trouble he’ll cause to get what he wants.

Blurb #2 (historical, western)

Bitter Creek's Redemption-

Bitter Creek is a town on the brink of war.

Lines are being drawn and sides taken as two powerful men gather armies of gunfighters. The townspeople are helpless and the law worthless. One man has already died in the opening salvo of this land war. An air of fearful anticipation hangs over the town.

Eagle, the half-breed who works at the livery stable, manages to survive by not taking sides until one day, a stranger rides into town. Eagle’s life changes and he finds that he can no longer hide with his horses, if he wishes to be the man he claims to be.

A stranger comes to town and all hell breaks lose.

Hope you find something you like in either of these two blurbs. :) Have a great and safe day.

Poetry Train #83

Pleasure

Warm touch
Gentle caress
Soft words
Breaking my heart.

Your smile from
Across the room
Hits me in the chest
And I remember
How you looked at me
As you told me you
Were leaving.

Warm touch
Gentle caress
Soft words
Breaking my heart.

You'd found someone else
To treat you the way you wanted
To give you things
You think you deserve
And worship at your feet
Like I couldn't,
Not without sacrificing
My self-respect.

Warm touch
Gentle caress
Soft words
Breaking my heart.

No more wishing
I could be what you wanted
I let you go and
Turned my face toward
A brighter life
And a stronger love
Without losing myself.

It's a snow day...

The snow is coming down fast and furious this morning...and it's only going to get worse until about noon. So I'm working from home today. I thought I'd post this really quick and then I'm going back to bed to snuggle under my blankets until a more reasonable time of day. :)

I hope you all are safe and sound, especially those are getting hit by snow and ice storms today...and all through the weekend. :)

Oopss..I forgot to let you all know that Samhain is holding a survey...click here.....they want to know what your favorite Samhain book and cover of 2008 was and also, what book and cover ever published by Samhain is your favorite.

So if you bought books at Samhain, please vote and it doesn't even have to be mine. I'll never know...lol.

Also, I would like to know how you would all feel about something. I would like to submit Nick of Time and get it contracted for release next year (hopefully..depending on the publisher's schedule), but if I did that, I would feel compelled to stop posting installments here at my blog. Just wouldn't feel right. It's different when it's something that's already finished, imo.

Now I would give you a different story to read and start it as soon as I made the decision to submit Nick before it's finished on the blog. So there wouldn't be a delay between stories.

How would you feel about that? You would get Nick of Time eventually (and with options of print or ebook format...maybe), but there would be a delay to find out what happens with the guys and the book until the book was released by the publisher.

Please tell me how you would feel about that. Your opinions do matter to me. :)

Happy Wednesday

Don't have much to say today...lol. The writing is coming along fairly well for both stories. I'm hoping by the end of the month that they'll be very close to being finished. Oh I might have good news concerning a different story soon. ;) Don't want to say anything too soon, might jinx it.

Managed to make it to work over the snowy roads and it looks like we'll get more by Friday. Ugh! I really don't like snow.

Enjoy the eye candy. I picked him because of his beautiful eyes. There was just something mysterious and in a way, brooding about them.

Have a great Wednesday. Those of you in the snowy parts of the country stay warm and safe. Those of you without snow...just stay safe. :)

Poetry Train #82

I thought since I gave you a peek at one of my WiP, I'd give you a sampling of the other. :) Here's an excerpt from His Heart's Home.

Excerpt:

Strong hands gripped his waist. “Be careful. We don’t want you hurting yourself.”

Derek shivered as Max’s warm breath washed over the nape of his neck. Before the thought actually registered in his brain, he pushed back against Max and they groaned when his ass rubbed over Max’s erection.

“I always thought you had a sweet ass,” Max murmured in Derek’s ear before nibbling on his neck.

“It’s one of my best assets,” he joked, covering Max’s hands with his.

“Mmm…I can think of several of your assets that I like.”

He let Max turn him around and raised his chin, meeting Max’s mouth. Their first kiss was gentle and slow, learning which angle gave them the most pleasure and how the other tasted.
Derek sucked on Max’s tongue, letting go of Max’s hands to bury his fingers in Max’s hair. He pressed closer and enjoyed the feel of hard muscles and rough skin.

Fuck, it had been so long since he’d touched another in any way except casually. He could have found someone for a quick fuck, but he didn’t like meaningless encounters. He liked sex, yet he wanted to know more about his lover than just a name.

Max bit Derek’s bottom lip, soothing the sting with a quick swipe of his tongue. Derek whimpered as Max cupped his ass with his big hands and rocked their groins together.

Happy Friday

Hello everyone, I thought today I'd post the pictures I'm using as inspiration for Max and Derek in His Heart's Home. :)

Here is Derek St. Martin...or what he looks like in my mind:

and here is Max Furlo:
Pretty nice, huh? lol

Writing is going well on His Heart's Home. I'm almost halfway done with it...which makes me happy. :)

Hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

A book or Two I think you should know about...

One Touch, One Glance: A Sweet Romance Anthology came out yesterday, starring none other than a frequent commenter here at No Boundaries and one of my bestest online friends, Jambrea Jo Jones. I'll admit I haven't gotten a chance to read all of the stories in the antho yet, but I know for a fact that Jambrea's story, The Forever Guy, is awesome. :) If you're looking for something sweet that isn't fattening for the holidays...lol..then I think you'll like this book.

Another story I think you might like is My Fair Monster by Lila Dubois. It's paranormal..has monsters, Hollywood and hot...hot...sex. With intriguing uses for electric toothbrushes that I'm sure the manufacturers never planned on...lol.

I'm doing some more writing on Tabloid Star..whose heroes' inspirations you saw on Monday. On Friday, I plan to show you who I'm using as inspiration for Max and Derek of His Heart's Home.

Plus I have to say thank you again to everyone who has bought Bound by Love. I'm still holding on to the #1 spot on Samhain's Top Ten Bestseller list. It's been close to a week with some other wonderful books being released in that time, so I'm amazed and humbled that I've managed to last this long.

Thank you all again and I hope you're having a great Wednesday.

Poetry Train #81

I thought I'd give you an excerpt from one of my Works in Progress, plus show you the pictures I've been using as inspiration. :)

Here's my inspiration for Joss Bauer:

And here's my inspiration for Ryan Kellar:

Tabloid Star is the story about a young hot actor on his way to superstardom (Ry) who has a one night stand with a bartender (Joss). Unfortunately part of their encounter is caught in a picture that lands on the front page of the national tabloids. Now Ry has to make a choice: Does he lie or deny what happened or does he take a chance that his fans will accept the fact that he's gay?

So I thought I'd give you a little excerpt to whet your appetite:

They watched Bill weave his way through the crush of people until he disappeared. Joss looked back at Ry to find the man studying him. Ry slid his sunglasses down and looked over them, tracing the length of Joss’s body. Joss swore he felt heat from each part of his skin those dark brown eyes touched. The desire blazing in that glance told Joss Ry was looking for someone different than Bill was.

“You want something to drink?” His question came out husky and he swallowed, trying to wet his suddenly dry throat.

“Drink? Sure, I’ll take a whiskey neat.”

Joss forced himself to walk away and grab a glass. He could feel Ry’s gaze burning into his back as the man eyed the large dragon etched across his shoulder blades. Taking a bottle of the top-shelf whiskey, he filled a high ball glass and handed it to Ry. Ry slid his fingers along Joss’s as he took the drink, shooting lust and blood to Joss’s groin.

“Fuck,” Joss whispered.

“Could I get that lucky?” Ry’s pink tongue peeked out, wetting his plump bottom lip and drawing Joss’s attention to it.

Joss groaned and adjusted his cock, searching for room in his too tight jean. “Is that what you’re looking for, man? I’ll be happy to accommodate you, but you have to be sure.”

Ry checked him out again, his eyes lingering at the growing bulge at Joss’s groin. “Oh, I’m sure I’ve found what I’m looking for.”

“Pete, can you handle it for ten minutes while I take my break?” Joss didn’t look away from Ry, shouting his question over his shoulder toward the other bartender.

“Sure, Joss. I’ve got it.” The smile in Pete’s voice told Joss his friend knew what was going on between him and Ry.

He moved from behind the bar, grabbed Ry’s hand and made his way through the crowd toward the back of the club. Ry kept up with him, his hand pinching Joss’s ass every few seconds. Joss hit the back exit door at almost a run, letting the metal door slam open as he yanked Ry through the doorway. As the door shut, he pinned the man to the brick wall and kissed him.

Happy Friday

His expression makes me wonder what he's thinking...lol. Definitely great inspiration. Oh the stories I could come up with to go with this picture.

Well, Friday is here and it's been a good week. Bound by Love came out and debuted at #2 on Samhain's Top Ten Bestseller list. Woo-hoo! And now it's at #1. Thank you to everyone who has bought it. I really do appreciate it. Of course, a few of the other books released this week are sneaking up the list as well, so my spot is in jeopardy...lol.

I finished final line edits on High Line, so hopefully that's done and I should be hearing about final line edits on Where the Devil Dances soon. I have 2500 left in Ghost and that can be sent to my editor. Then it's on to His Heart's Home. Once I finish that one, it'll be a toss of the dice to figure out which story I'll work on next. I have a list, but sometimes things get rearranged on it to suit my muse. Sam is a very flighty muse and he tends to flit from character to character and I have to work hard to keep him on track. :)

Hope everyone has a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

New Release

First off, for all of you who are stopping by to read the next installment of Nick of Time, I'll be posting it tomorrow. I'm postponing it for one day to celebrate the release of my tenth book, Bound by Love, which is available at Samhain right now. :)

Blurb:

Two cowboys fall in love. It's as simple and as complicated as that.

Tyler Newsome is heading home to the Lazy N, tired of the rodeo and tired of always being his charismatic twin's shadow. It's time he gets a life of his own—and maybe the man he's always dreamed of, too.

Ren Alston's always been attracted to Tyler, but never made a move because of his own mental and emotional baggage. But after years spent taming his demons and gaining control in every aspect of his life, Ren sees the younger man's return as a sign of good things to come.

But first, they have to deal with Tyler's twin, past indiscretions and Ren's brothers. Will these cowboys manage to build a strong foundation of trust and love? Or will their problems be too much for them?

Warning: Explicit manlove. Hot naked cowboys, caramel sauce, spanking, whipping and a new twist on the old fashioned roll in the hay.

Check it out. It's got a little of everything in it...plus a little BDSM. Not a lot, but Ren just needs to be in control and Tyler likes giving up control. :)

Also, I have another review up. This one by Jambrea who is my #1 Stalk...er...Fan...lol. Stop by here and hear what she has to say.

And Jambrea's muse, Heather, interviewed my muse, Sam, and Ren (one of the main characters in Bound by Love), so if you want to see what my muse is like, stop by and read it here.

One last thing, I'm guest blogging over at Sloane Taylor's blog today. She's have a huge birthday party in the month of December with lots of guest authors and she's giving away a free ebook every day to one lucky person who comments. I'm not sure when my post will go live, but I'll post the link to her blog and you can check it out here.

Please check all those wonderful blogs out and let me know what you think. If you read Bound by Love, don't hesitate to tell me what you think of it as well. I can take criticism...for the most part...lol

Have a great day and I promise the next installment will be up tomorrow. :)

World AIDS Day

HIV/AIDS is a disease that comes with so many terrible side effects. Not just the health issues, but the emotional problems that come from having this illness. Soemtimes it's not just the person with the virus who is affected. Entire families deal with the consequences that having this disease causes. The strength it takes to deal daily with this disease amazes and awes me. Please keep everyone who might be suffering from HIV/AIDS in your thoughts and prayers today. We must work hard to end this disease.

I'm blogging at SEx and Erotic Muses today. Tomorrow, I'll be at Sloane Taylor's blog, celebrating her birthday (early..lol) and the release of my newest book, Bound by Love, coming tomorrow from Samhain. :) Please stop by today and tomorrow if you can.

I've gotten several great reviews for Bound by Love all ready.

Christina at Romance Junkies gave it 4 blue ribbons. Click here to read the review.

Wave at reviewsbyjessewave gave Bound by Love 4.5 out of 5 stars. Check out the review here.

Hayley at Fallen Angel Reviews gave my boys 5 angels. Stop by here and see.

I know there are a few more that I probably missed. I have to go back and check...lol. I'll post those as soon as I find them.

Have a great day and I promise I'll be hopping back on the Poetry Train next week.
