I don't want to be here...

Ugh! I hate having a long weekend because then I really don't want to go back to work on Monday...lol. :) I hope you all had a great holiday.

Well, let's see. I have good news. I got an email from Liquid Silver and they want to publish my third Home book. There will be a title change from His Heart's Home to Wishing for a Home. The new title actually comes from a song Derek sings to Max during the story. :)

Also, within the next couple of days, I'll be phasing out this blog and moving/starting a new one at my website. If you'd like to check out what I've gotten done so far on my updated website, go to www.tachase.com and wander around. It's pretty simple at the moment since I didn't have time to get into a ton of stuff, but at least all my books are on there and the new ones I have coming out. I'll be doing links and other stuff as I work on it. Hopefully, you all like it.

Happy Hunk Day

Well, it's the last day of the work week for me. Woot! Can't wait until it's over then I have a four day weekend. I'm not going to want to come back to work next week. :)

Some good news. Dracul's Blood, the book I wrote with Carol Lynne, was contracted by Total e-Bound and is scheduled for a June release. (Of course, like every release date, it's subject to change..lol) Also, Understanding the Past has been contracted by Aspen Mountain Press. I don't have a date on that one yet. One more....Soothe the Burn (a sci-fi/futuristic story) has been contracted by Amber Allure for a February release. That's four books coming out so far next year. Since Fighting Dragons will be out next year as well.

I haven't heard anything about His Heart's Home from Liquid Silver, but that's all right. I didn't expect to hear back from them yet.

I'm working on a couple stories right now...like always. I can't write just one. :) Also, I plan on revamping my website over the weekend. I'm hoping to get most of it set up, but it might be down for a day or two while I fine tune everything.

Another Foggy Day...

Another foggy drizzling day here. Oh well, at least it's not snow. :) Have to look at the bright side at some point.

Nothing new to report. The writing is going well, but haven't quite gotten the story done yet. I hoped to get it finished over the weekend. I ended up busier than I planned. Yet I think it'll be done this week. I have Thursday off for sure, so while I wait for the food to cook, I can get some work done.

Change of plans...

I had planned on taking today off, but plans got changed, so I am at work. Woo-hoo! lol. I guess it's okay since it's kind of dreary outside.

Got some more writing done. Tabloid Star got the green light to be out in print in the summer of next year. I have to go through the galleys for that and get those turned in. Good news coming soon about a different story. As soon as I sign the contract, I'll let you all know. I don't like saying much about it until it's all official. Don't want to jinx things...lol.

What can I say....

it's Monday. :( Oh well, it's a short week for me since I have Friday off. Of course, I have to work on Saturday to make up for it. Sometimes can't win for losing, huh? :)

Well, writing is going very well. I'm really close to finishing a sci-fi story that I started a long time ago. Decided I wanted to cross it off my list. But Mars is chatting with me every chance he gets along with a pair of vampires who have very interesting stories to tell. I'm hoping to get the sci-fi one done, then moving on to the vampires. Mars will continue to be worked on late at night when he won't let me sleep because he wants me to tell his story asap. :)

Friday the 13th

I've always been intrigued by the legend of Friday the 13th. So many reasons why it's become synonymous with bad luck. The one that catches my interest the most is the story of the downfall of the Knights Templar and how on the 13th of October in 1307, King Philip of France ordered the mass arrest of the Knights Templar. There's a story in that whole terrible situation, I'm sure, and maybe someday I'll write something based on it. :) Who knows?

Another good night of writing. The story I wrote with Carol is done and with the publisher now. Not sure how long it'll take this particular publisher to let us know what they think, but as soon as I find anything out, I'll let you all know.

Well, I'm off for a fun day of meetings. Woo-hoo!

Foggy Wednesday

I feel like I'm in the middle of the movie, The Mist. Giant bugs will be coming out of the fog any minute now...lol. Isn't this picture just hot? If I wasn't at work, I'd probably make this my wallpaper on my laptop. :D

I'm working on the stories I mentioned on Monday, but it seems lately whenever I go to bed, I get scenes for Mars' Assassin, the sequel to Death or Life. I'll be lying there, then I'll hear either Mars or Lord talking...well, actually I'll see Mars talking and hearing Lord. It's extremely difficult for Mars to talk as I'm sure most of you remember. Good thing Lord's an expert lip reader. :) Last night, it happened again, so out of bed I climbed to write down the short scene I received. At this rate, I'll lose sleep, but get MA done before I planned...lol. I guess it's a good trade-off. What's the saying "I can always sleep when I'm dead"? lol

What's going on....

not much to report yet. :) Still working on Not Seeing is Believing, my blind vampire story along with a sci-fi story titled Soothing the Burn.

Plus Carol Lynne and I are in the homestretch of our joint story, Dracul's Blood. That has a tentative date of June next year. Then we'll be getting right onto the sequel for it. I know some of you have voiced concern about a co-writing venture, but I really think that Carol's 'voice' meshes well with mine. :)

Umm...someone asked about the next Sports book. It is on the schedule to be worked on soon. I have Not Seeing to finish, but I plan on starting JT's story and the third Sports book by the end of Nov. So I'm hoping they'll be out some time next year.

His Heart's Home is done, for the most part. Just have to go back over for a quick edit and write up the synopsis. Then it's off to Liquid Silver. Woo-hoo!

Now I'm working on Not Seeing is Believing. It's a 'friends-to-lovers' story about a blind vampire and the shifter he falls in love with. After that, I'll be working on a few different ones, just to keep my interest...lol.

Oh everyone might be glad to know that I've done some work on Mars' Assassin. It's the story of Mars and Lord from Death or Life. The other night I didn't get much sleep because for some reason I couldn't get those two out of my head. So I've been writing down what they seem to want to tell me at the moment. We'll see how long that lasts. :)
