Happy New Year's Eve

I hope you all have a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve, plus enjoy your weekend. I have a party to go to tonight, 80s themed, so there will probably be a lot of leg warmers, big hair, and rock band T-shirts. :) It should be fun.

Tuesday Thoughts

Here's a poem I wrote a while ago. I hope you all have a great Tuesday. :)

The days slip away, one by one.

Counting down to the moment

When I must walk away,

Leaving you behind.

I know it’s the right thing for me,

Yet walking away from you

Is breaking my heart in a way

I never imagined.

Others tell me they see me.

Others tell me what they want.

Others believe what I show them.

Others see only what I wish for them to see.

In your eyes, I’m real.

In your eyes, you see all of me.

In your world, I exist,

Not as I should be, but as I am.

Each step away from you

Leads me down a different path,

But even when we’re apart,

You’ll be in my heart and mind.

You own a piece of my soul.

A part I can never get back.

You’ll always be my friend

And much more.

Last Week of the Year

Well, Christmas is behind us. I hope everyone had a good and safe holiday.

I thought I'd get some writing done over the weekend, but ended up not doing much of anything except spending time with friends and family. :)

But it's back to the grindstone this week. I have to finish up one book and write half a chapter on another one. Plus do edits on one. Woot!

I hope you all have a great Monday.

Merry Christmas Eve....

He brought you a flower for the holidays. ;)

Getting ready to head out for last minute presents and food for a family get together tonight. Woot! No writing unless I do some when we get back home late tonight...lol.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve...and for those of you who don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you have an awesome Friday and a marvelous weekend.

Destroying Belief blurb...

This is the picture that inspired the story I'm working on now...Destroying Belief. Actually it should be the cover when I get it finished. It'll be out at Amber Allure as part of their Masquerade series. :)

I did write up the blurb for DB last night, so I thought I'd share it with you. I haven't finished the story yet, but I'm only about 4-5k away from being done. And I'm happy that I got the blurb done ahead of time.

So here's the blurb:

Clive Fishburne, the youngest son of the Earl of Wiltseshire, is on his Grand Tour. As a sickly child, he dreamed of visiting Venice and makes sure it’s the last stop before he is to return to England. With his best friend, Viscount Freemont, he arrives in Venice to enjoy Carnival, the week before Lent starts and all things go.

At a ball, he’s seduced by a masked stranger and he gives into the pleasures he’s always wondered about. Damiano takes Clive to heights he’s never experienced and in the process, Clive falls in love with the mysterious Italian. Then one night, Damiano fails to appear and Clive wonders if Damiano’s done playing with him. If after taking his virginity, Damiano sees no challenge in Clive.

Clive returns to England, heartbroken and sick, wondering if Damiano’s confession of love is real or simply the magic of Carnival where all things are hidden behind masks.

I hope you all find it interesting enough to check out when it's available. I don't have a release date yet. As soon as I get one, I'll let you all know.

Have a great Thursday.

Self-employed now

and that could explain why I'm later than usual in posting something on my blog...lol. I decided to sleep in today. :) When C headed out to work, he said he would guess how many words I wrote today between 0-4k. He knows me. I can't take a day off, not really. I'll probably write something today, even if I thought that I would take a little vacation...lol.

I've been working on a few different stories. One is a YA story about a kid whose best friend shots up their school, and he has to deal with the aftermath. Also, the poor kid has other issues, like being bullied in school, and he self-mutilates (cuts). I think it's going to be an emotional one, but Charlie (my hero) is really talking to me. He really wants his story told.

I hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Last Day of work...

Today's going to be a sad, but exciting day. It's my last day at my day job. I've worked with these people for nine years. (the longest I've worked any where...lol) Now I'm saying good-bye. It's bittersweet because I'm leaving to fulfill my life long dream of writing full time, but still I'm going to miss these guys. :(

There will be tears shed at some point, I'm sure. :)

I don't have a blurb today. I think I was getting a little worked up about leaving, so I couldn't concentrate. Maybe tomorrow. :D

I hope you all have a great Tuesday.

Last Monday....

for working at my day job. :)

I got really busy over the weekend, so I didn't get to write up any blurbs for you all to read. But I'll try to get at least one of them done tonight for tomorrow. lol. Of course, I hate writing blurbs along with synopsis. But they're a necessary evil, I guess. :D

I hope you all had a great weekend.

Friday Hottie

Woo-hoo! It's Friday. That leaves me only two more days at work. Weekends don't count since I don't work them...lol. :)

Cynthia's blurb suggestion sounds fun, so I'm going to try and come up with blurbs for some of the stories I'm working on. I'll post them to give you all an idea of what's coming up....though you'll have to remember most of them won't be finished and don't have a release date yet. :D

I hope you all have a great Friday and a marvelous weekend.

What to say?

Hmm...this not having a blog story to take up Tuesday and Thursday is making it difficult to think of what to say. Not much is happening around here. Just writing.

So C and I decided we weren't going to get each other anything for Christmas because we buy whatever we want through out the year anyway. I picked up a couple of books for him for his birthday which is next week, but I hadn't planned on getting him anything else. He tells me today he wants a new Ipod for Christmas. (He broke his last one. Shattered the face and now it only works when plugged into the computer. Pointless for using in a car.) I said fine. Let me know when you want to pick it up. Then he tells me I have to come up with stuff for him to get me since he can't be the only one opening stuff up on Christmas. (Like he'd wait that long to start using it...lol)

I told everyone else who asked me what I wanted for Christmas to donate to their favorite charity and just get me a card, telling me where they donated. I don't need anything really, and as for wanting stuff, I can't think of anything I really want. Then I figured it out. He's going to get me a new Ipod as well. (The button on mine doesn't work anymore and it quits at the weirdest times. Just stops playing and goes back to the main screen. Rebooted and restored it a few times. Hasn't fixed anything.) Though I didn't want a camera in mine, but C tells me all the new Ipods come with cameras. Oh fine. It's not like I take millions of pictures anyway, but hey, maybe I'll start taking them when I'm at conventions...lol.

We have to go out and finish up the Christmas shopping this weekend. Yay! lol Can't wait for that. I have all my nieces and nephews to buy for. The adults are done.

I hope you all have a great Thursday and that you're close to being done with your shopping. :)

Early Wednesday

I got up early to hang out with my MIL before she went in for surgery. Nothing major or anything like that. So I'm going to be dragging later today. But I'm at work now and hopefully will get the stuff I need to finish up done before the others get in here...lol

Not much happening at the moment. Didn't do any writing last night. Just vegged in front of the TV for a little while before heading to bed early. :) I'm hoping I can get some more writing done today.

Have a great Wednesday. Stay safe and warm as well.

New Cover...

This is the cover for my Feb. 13th release, Embrace My Reflection. I'm so happy Trace was able to use the picture I wanted. :) This pretty man is exactly what I imagined Ronnie to look like.

Well, that's really all I have to share today. I did get my partial done and into my editor. Just waiting to hear back on it. Finally got my chapter done on the bloody nun story. I've been working on it for a while now. First sex scene between the heroes and for some reason, it was like pulling teeth to write it. Not sure why. :) Now I'm back to my regularly scheduled stories. Hopefully I'll make some progress on them.

Have a great Monday, everyone.

Monday morning busy

Sorry about no picture. I forgot about some early meetings today. If I get time later today I'll post my newest cover for everyone to check out.

I'm using my phone to post this, so if it looks weird, that's why. :)

Have a good day, everyone.

Shades Of Dreams available now....

Shades of Dreams is available now at Amber Allure. You all might remember that I started it as a blog story before taking it off to finish and try to get out a little sooner than if I kept it on the blog. :) Well, here they are, Stephan and Rocky in all their glory.

Blurb:

Stephan Colby is on top of the world. He’s the lead singer of one of the hottest new rock bands, and his best friend is in the band to share the success as well. In addition, Stephan’s madly in love. Yet Fate has a cruel way of kicking a man in the teeth, and when Stephan’s world crashes down around him, he turns to his Rock, his bandmate, the one man who has always been there for him.

Rocky Sanicily has always had Stephan’s back, and they’ve been through a lot together. Rocky has also been in love with Stephan for many years, but has never found the courage to admit it. When Stephan suddenly loses the most important thing in his life, however, Rocky must do everything in his power to keep Stephan from giving up. If he succeeds, will he be able to finally tell Stephan how he feels? And if so, will it bring the friends closer together, or tear apart their relationship forever?

Another weekend....

Does anyone have big plans for the weekend? I plan on doing as much writing as I can over the next three days. :) Plus I have to be on the computer at 10 tomorrow to grab Kid Rock tickets. He's coming to my town in January and I really want to see him. Woot!

I've been working on two different stories lately. One is a partial for one of my editors. The other is the next chapter in The Haunting of St. Xavier's-or the bloody nun story-that Carol Lynne and I are writing together...lol. I'm at the love scene, so I have to work on that today. I want that done by tonight.

Well, I hope you all have a great weekend. Be safe and enjoy yourself. :)
